We all know the legend of the three wise men - Melchior, the Persian king who brought a gift of gold to the nativity; Caspar, the Indian king who brought frankincense; and Balthazar, the Arabian king whose gift was myrrh. Sadly, the adventures and exploits of the fourth wise man, the Italian king Joedolce, have not received their due recognition - for it was he who brought the precious gift of tagliatelle (a far more practical present than myrrh, let's face it), and it was he who, upon entering the stables and beholding the majesty within, famously threw his hands in the air and exclaimed: "That's-a swingin' bella Christmas!"

Right you are, Joedolce. It's-a not so bad; it is indeed A Swingin' Bella Christmas - a finger-snappin', toe-tappin' romp through traditional carols, modern favourites and specially-written original songs of the season, executed with airy panache by a horn-laden bevy of brilliant performers known throughout the civilised world as the Bella All-Star Band!

Your MCs Casey Bennetto and Geraldine Quinn will be joined by special guests as they navigate the musical joys and sorrows of the season in a special three-night engagement (on December 20th, 21st and 22nd) in the salubrious surrounds of the delightful Brunswick Ballroom. It's-a nice-a place.

Old songs! New songs! Hijinks! Frolics! Merriment! Traces of nuts! All of these things, or at the very least most of these things, and more! It's A Swingin' Bella Christmas, and we hope you'll join us. Fa la la la la, la la la

la.
