Celia Pacquola burst onto the Melbourne comedy scene in 2006.  After only a handful of gigs, but a barrelful of laughs, she was crowned the Raw Recruit, winning the prize for Best First Time Entrant in the prestigious Raw Comedy open mic competition as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Celia's candid and richly funny observations of the universe were lapped up by audiences nationally and noted by critics. As a result she was hand picked in 2007 to perform as part of The Comedy Zone, which features the brightest new comedy talent on the scene. 

In 2008 Celia's Comedy Festival dance card was full; she teamed up with Alison Bice to present the two handed theatrical stand up show, Celia Pacquola in ...Hating Alison Bice at Trades Hall, she joined a gaggle of funny ladies at The Forum in Up Front 08, entertained the late night punters at Festival Club and took her funny on the road as part of the Comedy Festival Roadshow.
In 2008 Celia traded in her waitressing career to write for Good News Week, write and perform for The Comedy Hour on ABC radio and broadcast her weekly radio show Red Hot Go on Fox FM. 

Celia was bound for solo success when she wrote and performed her first solo show at the Melbourne Fringe Festival in October 2008. After three packed out nights and rave reviews Celia was awarded BEST COMEDY SHOW at the Melbourne Fringe for her show Am I Strange?

An active part of the Melbourne comedy scene, you can catch Celia performing improvisational, sketch and stand up comedy alongside Melbourne's comedy elite.
