Emma Sachsse

Emma Sachsse has been a part of the Melbourne and Adelaide performance scenes for over two decades. She has been involved in live theatre since 1988 and stand up comedy since 1994. Other dalliances include improvisation, radio, television and film.
A talented voiceover artist, Emma voiced several characters in the award-winning Whodunit (Radio Series 1 and 2), performed for the 2002 and 2003 Melbourne Fringe Festivals. She has also had the good fortune to have shared the stage with many of Melbourne’s finest comedians, and to have collaborated on fantastic projects like The Weekly Wrap and Impro Sundae's Rumble.
A respected solo performer in her own right, Emma has taken a break from the stand-up circuit for the last few years to concentrate on writing and other projects. This has included the highly original Pussyfooting with Miss Benne Harrison, as well as various Fake McCoy projects including The Nightly World (viewable on You Tube), playing the hard-hitting journalist Fillet Decoupage.
Emma is debuting her latest project, F+CK. A Love Story at the 2009 Melbourne Fringe Festival.
F+CK. A Love Story is born of a desire to better understand the nature of sex and why we do it, over and over again, no matter how bad it is. Emma’s show examines how some of society’s attitudes and morals have changed, whereas others have stagnated. By lifting the lid on her own colourful, unbelievable and often mortifying past, Emma explores the dos, the don’ts and the what-on-earth-were-you-thinkings in this fresh take on the one-woman stand-up format.
