Kale Bogdanovs
State Finalist in RAW Comedy and Green Faces 2005 and RAW WA runner-up in 2006, Kale Bogdanovs seemed to have a meteoric career ahead of him before leaving the comedy-rich shores of Perth to make money and laws with his Arts degree in Canberra, ostensibly the nation’s Capital, but without the thriving comedy scene that would befit that title. Like an exiled scion, forced to live as a swineherd, Kale kept himself busy writing comedy, performing in dingy pubs and occasionally stepping out from the shadows of obscurity to MC the Dickson Spring Music Festival and the 2008 National Campus Bands Competition final. Finally ready to manifest his destiny, Kale Bogdanovs’ show, A Gentleman of Culture, was the boutique hit* of the 2009 MICF. Now, he returns to Melbourne to get friendly with the Prince of Darkness himself.
*not very many people bought tickets but they all felt quite smug about it afterwards.
