Presenter Profiles
Cath Styles

Addicted to stand-up comedy since making it to the semi-finals during her first ever gig at Raw Comedy in 2008, Cath has performed consistently in the field ever since – producing and performing in the hit all girl group show Extreme Blonde at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival that year, and again at the St Kilda Laughs Festival and Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2009.
Extreme Blonde proved popular with audiences and reviewers, selling out on a number of nights during Melbourne and Adelaide festivals:
“An excellent night… recommended to all comedy punters” The Groggy Squirrel, March 2008
“ A Last minute festival delight” Talkfringe, Adelaide Fringe Festival, 2009
Cath wrote, produced and performed her first solo show Vampire Teeth in 2009, and wrote, produced, and performed in her second solo show Love and Marriage later that year. Love and Marriage was directed by Adrian Calear, and previewed at Melbourne Fringe Festival 2009
“An utterly enjoyable and hilarious show… highly recommended” Buzzcuts, Melbourne Fringe 2009
Cath also performed Love and Marriage at Adelaide Fringe Festival, and enjoyed a successful season at Trades Hall with it during this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival
“A great show that will appeal to a wide variety of people” The Australian Comedy Review
As well as performing in numerous comedy festivals over the past three years, including a number of guest spots at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2009, Cath performs regularly in venues around Melbourne, and at corporate events whenever possible.
Cath is also a prolific writer, who has her own blog, COMEDY CHICK which has a regular readership. She has also written for a number of online magazines including Watch Out For and iconic UK comedy website Chortle.
Described as “A very warm and accessible performer”, (The Australian Comedy Review), Cath has developed into a versatile performer and writer, who can adapt easily to a number of situations within the industry.
