The 2013 Slamalamadingdong season has paved the way for more people in Melbourne to experience the most electrifying and heart expanding spoken word poetry this city has to offer. But this community of Poets and audience members put collaboration before competition.
In the final slam of the 2013 season, nine of Slamalama's strongest and most active voices compete for the title of Season Poetry Slam Champion. Come join in the celebration.
No where else can you experience the juicy heart spill that is Slamalama. We got the:

Rules of the Slam!
1. Must be the poet's original work.
2. 3 minute time limit.
3. No props, costumes or musical instruments.

Slamalamadingdong channels an electric underground street energy equal to the biggest and best spoken word scenes in the world from New York to Berlin.
Simultaneously, the series extends the practice of slamming into workshops, community forums and above all, not just a competition but a solid, inter-disciplinary and highly entertaining show- perfect for the spoken word poetry virgin coming out to a slam for the first time or the seasoned performer in need of an audience to test out some “new shit.”
Every month over one hundred humans thirsty for stories and poetry flock to Slamalamadingdong to benefit from what this didactic event series has to offer.
