Damian Callinan is Robinson Crusoe

Presenter: Dirty Work Comedy

Event Duration:

The sole survivor of a shipwreck, Robinson Crusoe washes up on a deserted island with little chance of rescue. Overcoming despair and isolation over 24 years he transforms his dismal island into a tropical paradise.

Meanwhile...

Locked out of his family home, 11 year old Damian Callinan exiles himself in the garage for 9 hours waiting for his parents to return. Hamstrung by persistent rain and a prodigious lack of initiative, he transforms his garage into an impenetrable brick fortress.

Callinan tells hilariously ‘lonely’ stories like no other. Join the three time Melbourne Comedy Festival Barry Award nominee as he takes us back into the garage to out-lonely the Great Crusoe:

Directed by Matt Parkinson, Callinan is returning to the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival after national tours of his solo shows ‘Cave To The Rave & ‘The Merger’ [MICF Barry nominated 2010]; an Adelaide and SA tour of ‘The Complete Works Of Shakespeare-Abridged’ with State Theatre SA and putting the finishing touches on his first novel.

But before all that, Damian is offering you the opportunity to come to a run-through of his new show before he heads to Adelaide.

Entry is FREE, but seats are limited, so please reserve your tickets NOW!
